Patricia Brown will contribute to Thematic 4 of #CCities2, where we consider the role of governance and industry in building a conscious city. In this session, we will explore the role that industry and policy play in improving the built environment, addressing issues concerning professional responsibility, confidentiality, consent, risk and vulnerability.
Patricia is the Director of Central, a consultancy largely centred on the dynamics of cities and the process of achieving change. Central advises business and civic leaders on partnerships, developments and projects to create thriving places, economies and business. A significant element of Patricia’s current and past work is building a shared vision and ambition to create a better outcome for all, building alliances between the public and private sectors.
Outside of her work at Central, Patricia is Chair of the London Festival of Architecture, Vice Chair of the British Property Federation’s Development Committee and until May, was Deputy Chair of the Mayor’s Design Advisory Group, helping to lead its “Good Growth Agenda”. Patricia works across the UK, as well as in New York, where she is an adviser to Times Square Alliance and a consultant to Columbia University’s Centre for Urban Real Estate.
We hope to see you on Wednesday 3rd May for what will be a jam packed day of insight, debate and reflection on these dynamic and essential topics.
